OLCA WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5

This winter is certainly giving us a run for our money! As always, we have put safety first. With tomorrow’s ice and snow storm predicted to hit during the morning arrival hours, we are going to close. This will be our third snow day. To make up for these days, we are revising our Yearly Calendar. We will now be open on the following three days: Friday, March 21; Thursday, May 29; and Friday, May 30. Any further snow days will result in an extension of the school year and/or a reduction of the Easter Recess.

SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP – RB CAMPUS – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6: 6 PM-9PM

Representatives from the Diocesan Scholarship foundation will be hosting a workshop for all Queens Catholic Schools at our RB campus this Thursday. If you have your 2013 tax information completed, you can bring it with you and complete the application on site. As we did last year, OLCA will pay for the scholarship application, which is only being done online this year. If you can’t make it on Thursday, just come by our school office and we will do the application with you! Last year, OLCA parents received over $150,000 in scholarships, and the families who received the most were the ones who applied early! Due to limited parking, we recommend carpooling and arriving by 5:30 PM. You can complete the application now by visiting http://www.mytads.com/fa/futuresineducation.php

REGISTRATION FOR 2014-2015

Once again, we are happy to report that our seats are being filled even faster this year than last year! The registration process is now open for new families, so if you’re planning to return next year, please register as soon as possible to guarantee a seat at your current campus. Families are always welcome to change campuses if no seats are available at their current campus.

MID-TERM ADJUSTMENTS

Some teachers are adjusting their mid-term schedules due to absences and school closings related to the snow. Please consult your class page on the website for updates on your child’s midterms.
