Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare for another school year, I hope this letter finds all of you well rested and ready for September. We have a later start than usual this year, so enjoy an extra week of summer vacation! Here are our hours for the remainder of the summer:

FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES
Classes resume on Wednesday, September 7 for Grades K-8, and on Thursday, September 8 for Grades Nursery & Pre-Kindergarten. Half-Day Dismissal will be in place for Wednesday, September 7 – Friday, September 9. The hours for Rockaway Boulevard are 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM; for 128th Street, 8:15 AM – 11:45 AM.
Students will receive their Family Handbook and the September calendar on their first day of school, along with a lunch menu for the month. The 2016-2017 Yearly Calendar can be found on our website.
REGISTRATION & SCHOLARSHIPS
At this time, seats are limited for most grade levels at each campus, with several classes now having waiting lists. Please call our offices at 718-641-1316 (128th Street) or 718-641-0212 (Rockaway Boulevard) to schedule a registration appointment. Both Diocesan and local scholarships are available, although time is running out to apply. So far, OLCA families have received more than $125,000 in Diocesan and local scholarships for the upcoming year!

AUGUST TUITION PAYMENTS
At this time, the first tuition payment and the material fee are both due. If you cannot make it into the office to make the payment, don’t worry! We can take payments over the phone for your convenience. Just give either office a call and we will assist you right away. The Rockaway Boulevard office will be open from 8 AM – 4 PM through Friday, August 12, as the Summer Brainstorm program is ongoing.
Included with this letter is a bill for payments due as of Monday, August 1. All tuition and fees must be paid in full, including any remaining balance from last year, for your child to start classes in September.
SUPPLY LISTS & SUMMER PACKETS
You can find your child’s Supply List (all grades) and Summer Packet (Grades K-8) on our school website. Just click on the class page of the grade and campus your child is entering in September. Hard copies are available in the office, and we can also mail a packet out to you by request. Just give us a call and we’ll get it in the mail a.s.a.p. All students in grades K-8, new and returning, should arrive on the first day with their completed Summer Packet.
