Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you well! As we prepare for the end of the school year, here are some important updates:
Year End Barbecue
Saturday, June 10: 2 PM -?6 PM
128th Street Campus Yard
Our year end barbecue keeps getting bigger and better! In addition to free food and drinks for all attendees, we will have a live DJ and games and activities for the children. Parents from the Rockaway Boulevard campus will have the opportunity to tour the 128th Street Campus, and Ideal Uniform Store will be on site to measure all students – old and new – for uniforms for the new school year. We want to thank all of the parents and staff who have donated food and drinks for the BBQ, and also those who have donated gifts for us to raffle. We look forward to seeing everyone there on Saturday!
Thanks to all of you who have already re-registered. Thanks to so many re-registrations and more than seventy new students signing up, we are approaching capacity in many grade levels. We want to see all of you at OLCA in 2017-2018. If you haven’t done so yet, please re-register as soon as possible. As a friendly reminder, all tuition and fees from 2016-2017 must be paid in full for you to complete the registration process, so double check with your campus office if you are unsure of your account status.
Accelerated Program (Grades 6-8)
Applications Available on Monday, June 12
Applications for our Accelerated Program will go home on Monday, June 12. Current students who are entering Grades 6, 7, and 8 will receive an application in school. New students who have registered will have a copy mailed to them at home. The application will also be available on the website. Please note that students may be placed in a combination of regular and accelerated classes, depending on the subject area. Tentative placements will be determined before the close of the school year, with the possibility of additional seats opening up as the summer progresses.
In closing, thank you for the beautiful Principal Appreciation Day Celebration, which was a wonderful surprise. As we prepare to bring our two campus communities together in the fall, our gratitude for the students and parents that we proudly serve is coupled with our enthusiasm for all of you to discover each other. Truly, From Many, We are One.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mr. Kevin John Coyne & Mrs. Debra Eisenbraun
Principal & Assistant Principal
